Jac+ Jack, an Australian luxury brand synonymous with quality, celebrates its tenth year in 2014 and introduces a collection of superfine Merino wool pieces celebrating the origins of the brand and its partnership with The Woolmark Company.

When Jac+ Jack launched in 2004, the label specialised in knitwear exclusively, highlighting the beauty and simplicity of superfine gauges and weaves. In the decade that followed, the timeless elegance of the Jac+ Jack aesthetic evolved to encompass all aspects of the contemporary wardrobe for men and women.

For winter 2014, co-founders Jac Hunt and Lisa 'Jack' Dempsey collaborate with The Woolmark Company on a collection focusing on the knitwear that remains a signature of the label’s offering. A study in tonality, modernism and non-statement, the collection includes superfine Australian Merino wool knitwear certified by The Woolmark Company. Working with specialist Italian mills, the label sourced textiles in a classic palette of black, white, navy, cream and canvas for the collection.

"We believe Australian Merino wool is one of the most beautiful natural fibres in the world, which is why we have worked with Merino wool in every collection since our first in 2004," says Hunt.

A variety of Merino wools make up the collection, from the cashmere-soft Apollo Cardigan to the textured, moss-stitched Yates Sweater. The softness of fleece is complemented with butter soft leather panelling in the Raya Sweater while the men's range includes the subtly flecked 'Cookies and Cream' Rae Sweater - a modern crew neck knit.

"Our selection of very special Woolmark-certified Merino wool pieces reflects the luxurious nature of this beautiful fibre," says Dempsey.

The Woolmark-certified pieces from the Jac+ Jack Winter 2014 collection are now available in store and online at jacandjack.com.
