For more than half a century iconic Australian womenswear and menswear brand Sportscraft has known the natural beauty and versatility of Australian Merino wool. For winter 2015, Sportscraft delivers a sophisticated wool capsule collection, championed by the internationally renowned actress Naomi Watts.

LOVE WOOL

As cooler weather slowly sets in upon Australian shores, apparel label Sportscraft welcomes the mercury dip with open arms, unveiling a collection of Woolmark-certified items for both men and women.

More than 66 women’s styles and over 45 items for men have been launched by Sportscraft, each carrying the iconic Woolmark symbol and available to purchase online and in-store.

The collection includes modern knit jumpers, chunky turtlenecks and cardigans, coats and luxurious dresses in warm camels, greys, taupe, cream and winter whites. Neutral shades are injected with pops of colour including tangelo orange and citrus.

Sophisticated suiting and a range of Merino wool essentials are perfect for winter layering, says Sportscraft.

Newly signed brand ambassador, Naomi Watts’ love for luxurious soft wool pieces made her a perfect fit for the striking winter campaign, which showcases the brand’s classic-yet-modern approach to style.

“I’m drawn to Sportscraft's modern simplicity and classic style, in particular their beautiful wools and textures,” says Watts.

“It triggers fond memories of growing up in Australia.”

To celebrate the collection’s launch, Sportscraft has released a short film featuring Watts wearing key pieces from the winter collection. It’s more than just a feeling; it’s a simple, honest way of being. It’s nature in all her splendours, explains the film.

Sportscraft’s romance with wool started back in 1964, when they won the Australian Wool Board’s first ‘Pure New Wool’ licence. The brand’s commitment to quality and innovative use of Australian Merino wool continues today, with stunning, sophisticated clothing highlighting the fibre’s natural beauty.
