STRATEAS CARLUCCI continues to make waves abroad, becoming the first Australian designer label to show its wares on schedule at Milan Fashion Week.

Showing its spring/summer 2017 men’s and women’s collection with the support of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, the governing body of Milan Fashion Week, and The Woolmark Company, STRATEAS CARLUCCI’s collection demonstrated a youthful energy fused with sophisticated tailoring.

“Inspired by the themes of censorship and control, the collection focuses on controlled and released garments, which is achieved through extreme silhouettes, exaggerated and oversized versus slip and cropped,” explained co-founder Mario-Luca. “Some garments control the wearer by being engineered, which gathered, scrunched or forced to be worn in a certain way. Highlights included a series of graphic Merino wool knitwear in a variety of shapes, such as oversized knit dresses and super-slim sleeveless tanks with pixelated graphics.
