Vogue Fashion Night Out was held in Paris on 16 September in partnership with the Campaign for Wool and The Woolmark Company.

As a preview to Vogue Fashion Night Out (VFNO) held in Paris on 16 September, Vogue Paris Hommes produced a four-page promotion of wool in its September edition.

"As Vogue, in partnership with The Woolmark Company & The Campaign for Wool, celebrates fashion in the heart of Paris, wool proves that it is synonymous with out-and-out style … and the height of fashion," Vogue says in the feature.

"This natural, renewable, time-honoured fibre plays a vital role in the world of fashion and design, shaping today's and tomorrow's trends, and adapting to every look, from casual cool to the ultimate in elegant sophistication. And this season, it's making its mark as an absolute men's style must-have."

Three looks are featured in the promotion titled 'Wool Appeal':

  • Wool coat, by IRO
  • Wool knit sailor's top, by Zadig & Voltaire
  • Mélange wool knit jumper, by Sandro

The complementary video features the model showing off the three looks, with the sultry sound of Parisian band We Are Knights as accompaniment.

A similar promotion for womenswear features in the VFNO supplement in the September edition of Vogue Paris, again in partnership with The Woolmark Company and The Campaign for Wool.

VFNO is a global Vogue initiative - a one-night shopping extravaganza with runway shows and entertainment. 2014 sees the VFNO in its sixth year globally, and celebrated in 20 countries across the world.

VFNO in Paris was held on 16 September in partnership with The Campaign for Wool and The Woolmark Company. It highlighted wool across the stores and had a wool focus with a special wool garden with sheep at the junction of Rue Cambon and Place Maurice Barres amidst the VFNO event.

Each year, The Campaign for Wool holds Wool Weeks in countries across the world during the autumn retail season. Featuring leading designers, retailers, celebrities - and lots of sheep - the Wool Weeks give hundreds of thousands of people the opportunity to get up close and personal with wool.

Wool Week in France is being held in Paris from 16-21 September starting with the partnership with VFNO.
